Abstract

The article focuses on the axiomoral foundations of media education and aims to provide a synthetic presentation of the main axiological and ethical areas on which media education should be based, given its important role in ensuring the proper use of media by all users. Therefore, attention is drawn to such important aspects of axiological formation as education for the inalienable dignity of the human person, concern for the truth, responsibility for one's words, education in critical thinking, as well as awareness of the influence of the media on relevant areas of human life and permanent self-education in this field. Contemporary media culture requires the development of media literacy and the formation of axiological and moral attitudes, without which people cannot be conscious users of media culture.
