Review procedure (operating since 2013)
- Each article is subject to an initial internal review by the Editorial Board of Saeculum Christianum. After a positive opinion from the Editorial Board, the article is sent to two independent reviewers from outside the unit.
- For texts written in a foreign language, at least one reviewer is affiliated with a foreign institution other than the nationality of the author’s nationality.
- The reviewer fills in a review form established by the Editorial Board of Saeculum Christianum and formulates an unambiguous conclusion regarding the acceptance of the article for publication or its rejection.
- Only articles that have received positive reviews from two thematic reviewers are accepted for publication.
- Reviewers do not know the identity of the authors, nor do the authors know the identity of the reviewers (the so-called double-blind review process).
- The names of all reviewers collaborating with Saeculum Christianum are posted on the website and published in each issue of the periodical.
