Technological progress and globalization determine a new way of life. Specific conditions for growing up of today’s students cause that the traditional school seems to be unattractive for them, lessons are boring, and acquired knowledge and skills useless. they want to learn needed things using the tools “of their time”. Parents and employers expect that the education system will prepare students for future professional careers in accordance with the rapidly changing requirements of the labor markets. Society requires the students to be educated in basic skills and competencies, allowing them for full-fledged participation in daily activities. Opportunity for the school of 21st century M. Prensky sees in partnering pedagogy, considering the partnership as a platform for cooperation between school, teacher, student and his/her parents. In the social dimension partnering pedagogy should be considered in a broader context of partnering education. the effectiveness of today education depends on the actions that go beyond the relations within the school, including the multi-faceted cooperation between schools and public & private sectors. the fundamental issue is therefore the need of changes in consciousness of educators and society.
