Abstract

In 2020 were passed 10 years of the existence of the Faculty of Family Studies within the structures of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw, which dates back to the times of the Academy of Catholic Theology and research activities for marriages and families, started in 1975 by the later Archbishop Kazimierz Majdański. The aim of this article is to present some of the research and scientific achievements of the Faculty, which are the prepared and defended Master’s theses, both in full-time and part-time studies, in the years 2011-2020, i.e. in the first decade of the independent existence of this Faculty. After presenting a short history, the metho- dology of the work was presented, based on collecting and analyzing the topics of all 471 Master’s theses in the indicated period. The research results were compiled by citing examples of issues and topics from six research areas in which analyzes were undertaken within the framework of interdisciplinary family sciences: philosophical ethics and philosophy; medical sciences and family sciences; pedagogy; psychology; Catholic social science and sociology; and theology, theological bioethics and pastoral care of families.
