This paper presents a review of the collective work edited by Justin M. Anderson and Atria Larson, titled "Thomas Aquinas and Medieval Canon Law." In discussing this publication, the author provides a concise overview of the thirteen articles, which explore the reception of medieval canon law within the works of St. Thomas Aquinas, recognizing them as a significant contribution to the advancement of research on medieval doctrine. The author highlights that from a canonical perspective, particular attention should be paid to the contributions by Ken Pennington and Andrea Padovani, which focus on the significance of the terms lex and ius in the legacy of Thomas Aquinas. Furthermore, the articles by Riccardo Saccenti and Charles J. Reid are noteworthy for addressing specific issues such as: the allowance for forced baptism of Jewish children, the institution of dispensation from an oath for the purpose of contracting a marriage, and arranged marriages.
