Abstract

The aim of the study was to explore the opinions of parents, teachers, educators, and educational professionals regarding students’ social relationships, emotional functioning, and attention difficulties. Fifty-two interviews were conducted with adults directly involved in students’ educational and social environments. The participants expressed concern about students’ low levels of social-emotional competencies as well as difficulties in maintaining attention and concentration. They identified the excessive use of internet-enabled screen devices as the primary cause of these problems.
