Abstract

The article's subject is the teaching and educational activity of the Association of Architecture Students of the Warsaw University of Technology in the second half of the 1930s. After 1934, as part of teaching architecture, the Association took the initiative to present the works of young architects to a wider audience. Students' works, including diploma projects, paintings, photographs, drawings, and graphics, as well as furniture designs implemented in the form of prototypes, were presented in „Albums of Young Architecture” and at foreign exhibitions. Since 1938, the Association has been publishing the magazine „Młoda Architektura” with a crystallizing ideological message that emphasizes the spiritual values and moral attitude of the architect as a creator.

The mission of ZSA was multidimensional and multi-layered educational work based on the diffusion of knowledge, which fits into the broadly understood didactics of architecture. Its ultimate goal was to develop a spiritually mature artist-engineer-architect aware of his duties.
