Abstract

A subject from the range of process of the convict’s social readaptation which is brought up in this article shows the importance of the social factors’ reassessment. In the literature concerning a role of these factors in a functioning of a person and in the social processes (a process of the readaptation in it), we can read about a concept of the “social capital”. In particular, the area of sociology presents many theories which concentrate on the social capital and its connection with other capitals as on the very important factor in human’s development. One of the elements of the social capital is the social attitude which creates the behavior and influences people’s reactions. Watching the situation of the convicts being free, we can assume how important other people’s attitudes are. In this article, we will touch the matters of theoretical bases in the area of social behavior, which makes the factor of the social capital and we concentrate on its role in the process of social readaptation.
