Abstrakt

The right to religious freedom is a fundamental human right. States have included this right in the catalog of human rights that are particularly protected by the legal order of each state, but legal protection of this right is not sufficient in many situations.  Therefore, guarantees of religious freedom have been included in international law, which sets standards for democratic states.  The European Convention on Human Rights, among other freedom rights, described the concept and scope of the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion.

State authorities should support broadly understood religious freedom and ensure the conditions for its use by all believers, otherwise the lack of such support translates into discrimination and an increase in negative behavior towards believers. It may also often encourage radical representatives of religious communities to commit acts of hostility against other communities
