The promulgation of the conciliar constitution on the liturgy has created numerous pastoral challenges also for the Church in Poland. First of all it was necessary to undertake a great formative work of the clergy and the laity, in order to deepen the theology of the liturgy, and to convince them, given the numerous resistances, regarding the reform and the liturgical renewal. Then it was necessary to translate in Polish and publish the new liturgical books. A further effort required their implementation. During the communist regime numerous difficulties arose for the press of any kind material. On the other hand, however, this favored a slow and gradual, but more thorough method of the introduction of the liturgical reform.
