Abstract

Christianity demands actions which are an approval and guarantee of the autenticity of its deepest content and meaning. The Christian humanism may be realized in life in no other way then by considering the man in all his dimensions, also the dimension of his basic needs for material things indispensable for a dignified life, needs that often can only be satisfied thanks to the help from other people or institutions. The above article is a presentation of the charitable works of Polish Catholic Mission in Sweden, who apart from its pastoral mission that is carried out among polish emigrants, is also engaged in showing active love, Caritas, through collaboration with different organizations, foundations, orders, hospitals, schools and individual people. It's an activity that confirms the thesis that mature Christianity demands to be fulfilled through commitment to helping people in need, since it is a common imperative that has its source in the Christian values.
