Abstract

Review of the book by Łukasz Kalisz entitled Social functions of Salesian schools in the Vilnius School District during the Second Polish Republic, published by the University of Białystok Publishing House (Białystok 2021, pp. 257). The author of the publication explains the significant role of Salesian schools in the history of Polish education and shows timeless educational solutions. The book is the result of the researcher's extensive research in archives and libraries in Poland, Lithuania and Belarus. It is monographic in nature and combines historical, social and educational aspects.
