Abstract

In his teachings, John Paul II referred to values, in particular concerning the relationships and conditions determining love, justice, peace, freedom and truth. Each gender is a natural characteristic of a human being, a male and a female, and is determined at the moment of conception and the creation of a new life. The fetus has every right to live, as it is a human being. There are new threats emerging, concerning the upbringing of children and young people in line with their natural gender. The neo-modernist philosophy introduces new categories and nomenclature, including LGBTQ+, which represent different sexual behaviours. In the face of these threats and false theories, it is worth returning to the teachings of St. John Paul II about values and to his personalistic concept of a human being. Axiological education must have its proper place at every stage of development. Without it, human beings have no chance to find the truth about themselves in freedom and lose themselves in search of answers to basic existential questions.
