Abstract

This article describes a concept of intergenerational education as an inherent part of activities responding to an intergenerational segregation being a result of progressing society’s aging phenomena and related general social and cultural changes. It aims at establishing contact among generations (mostly distant ones) through formal and intentional practice, focusing on mutual benefits and personal development and in broader context on family and community reinforcement. Intergenerational learning is a new phenomenon in both practice and science which has just formed its theoretical and empirical foundations. This paper presents issue of still innovative in Poland intergenerational education in an intergenerational practice’s output perspective.
