The first publishers of the journal were the Higher Clerical Seminaries of the Salesian Society in Kraków and in Ląd nad Wartą, and since 1997 in Kraków, Ląd and Lódź, and formally, the Salesian Provincial Houses in Poland. In 2008, “Seminare. Learned Investigations” became the official scientific periodical of the Francis de Sales Scientific Society (TNFS), an association founded in 2007 that brings together members and friends of the Salesian Society. The journal’s profile is in line the TNFS’s mission that has been defined as undertaking scientific and research activities as well as educational activities in the spirit of the humanism of Francis de Sales - the patron saint of scholars and educators. Scientific activities conducted by TNFS members focus on the question of “the young and their world.” In addition to “Seminare”, TNFS publishes also the following series related to upbringing and education:
