The development of children and adolescents, the acquisition of values and norms, and learning to live in society can be affected by various difficulties, disorders, and abnormalities, including behaviors known as demoralization.
The issue of demoralization in children and adolescents is the focus of this article. The structure of the text is based on the adopted research question: what is demoralization, what are the sources of antisocial behavior, and how to protect adolescents in this regard? The aim of the article is to present the issue of demoralization, its causes, and the prospects for counteracting it. The importance of the socialization process and the role of the family environment in it, as well as possible disruptions to its proper course, the concept of demoralization, its sources and the possibilities of protecting children and young people from succumbing to bad behavior, are presented. The research is based on an analytical and synthetic approach to legal and literary sources. The problem of demoralization is a real and tangible challenge that requires research to ensure that understanding all the components of this phenomenon can effectively protect young people from engaging in harmful behavior and its consequences.
