Literature as a meme? Cultural Communication in the age of the produser: The Case of Mateusz Morawiecki’s Poems Written in Excel

Abstract

This article explores how literature takes on new forms in the age of social media. The starting point is the Facebook page Mateusz Morawiecki’s Poems Written in Excel, which combines meme, satire, and poetry. The phenomenon is analyzed through the lens of prosumption and produsage theories. The focus is placed on the work of Adam Wrotz and the responses of the online community. The article shows that a meme can serve both as political critique and as a literary experiment.
