Abstract

The text is an edited version of the inaugural lecture delivered by Rev. Prof. Janusz St. Pasierb on 6 October 1970, prepared on the basis of his typescript preserved in the UKSW Archives. It has been supplemented with basic biographical information on the referenced writers, theologians, and philosophers, as well as with editorial notes and illustrations.
