Abstract

Contemporary psycho-pedagogical intervention is based on the resources of its subjects. Focusing on strengths supports a sense of competence and builds independence in life, helping to cope with adversities on one's own. An example of such resources is psychological resilience, understood as a personal capital conditioning positive adaptation to demanding life circumstances, such as raising a child with autism. The article is a review of research on the issue of family psychological resilience in the face of autism. The emphasis is placed on indicating the positive consequences of the presence of this resource for the quality of life of families.
