Abstract

Adulthood of people on the autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) has only recently become an area of interest for special educators and psychologists. The biopsychosocial model of disability and the inclusive perspective of analyzes of marginalized groups emphasize the interactive and dynamic dimension of the functioning of people with ASD at different stages of life and in relation to its various dimensions. The article, referring to the inclusive paradigm, presents the specificity of functioning of people with ASD in the context of building interpersonal relationships, including partnerships and taking up paid work, as the most important areas of adulthood affecting the quality of life of people with ASD.
