THE CATECHUMENAL MODEL IN PREPARATION FOR THE FIRST HOLY COMMUNION IN THE ARCHDIOCESE OF BIALYSTOK

Abstract

After the Second Vatican Council, the Białystok church opened to the kerygmatic renewal
trend in catechesis. Under the influence of its precursors, he began to depart from the didactic
catechesis and shape the initiation catechesis. In the preparation of children for the
sacraments of reconciliation and penance and the Eucharist in the parish, the Archdiocese
of Białystok implemented a catechumeal model of the formation. Based on many years
of pastoral experience, she prepared her own catechesis program as well as scenarios and
materials for its implementation.
