Abstract

On 9 December 2023, a scientific conference was organized at the Institute of Philosophy of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw entitled Perspectives of contemporary ethics. The symposium was also a celebration of the scientific and teaching achievements of prof. Ryszard Moń and prof. Ewa Podrez. Nine papers were presented during the conference, including: understanding ethics in Christian philosophy; issues of ethical duty and normativity; anthropological foundations of ethics; a  dialogue between ethics and literature; perception of pride and honor in the past and today; values in the society of tiredness; and the ethics of love in Dante Alighieri.
