Abstract

The plaques found in 2022–2023 in the Church of the Holy Spirit in Vilnius are undoubtedly portatillas (with one exception). All of them were made in the first half of the 20th century. However, how they ended up in the Dominican church – is unknown. One of them is probably from the Benedictine church in Vilnius. All the plaques contain inscriptions with almost identical content. Most still have their reliquaries intact. All the portatillas were consecrated at Vilnius Cathedral by Bishops: Aleksander Zwierowicz, Edward von Ropp, Kazimierz Michalkiewicz, Romuald Jałbrzykowski, and attested by Franciszek Bielawski and Klemens Malukiewicz.
