PUBLICATION POLICY

Authors do not bear any costs associated with the publication of their articles, nor do they receive any financial gratification. They are entitled, however, to a free copy of the journal volume in which their text was published. The authors also undertake to comply with the ethical principles adopted by the SEeB Editorial Board.

The authors are obliged to sign documents regulating the following issues:

  1. consent to the processing of personal data;
  2. confirmation of the authorship and not-infringement;
  3. confirmation that the submitted article is not currently subject to evaluation by another editorial board;
  4. in the case of a co-authored work, information on percent contribution to the preparation of the article of individual authors and indication of the scope of work done by individual team members;
  5. opinion of the scientific research ethics committee, if the article published in SEeB has been based on animal or human research;
  6. information on the funding of the research the results of which are published in SEeB.
  7. completion of the thematic classification form indicating whether the article relates to: (1) the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); (2) Polish history, religiosity, culture, literature and language; and (3) the gender equality perspective (the form is available on the journal’s website)
  8. a statement on the use or non-use of AI-assisted tools and content generators in the writing and preparation of the article, in accordance with the journal’s AI Policy and the instructions in the template for manuscripts.

Authors are also required to follow the accessibility requirements described in the Article Structure and Formatting section. In particular, they must provide a separate Word file with alternative text (alt text) for all figures and short descriptive summaries for all tables, so that the article's content is accessible to readers who are blind or partially sighted. Use the manuscript TEMPLATE.
