Jarosław Koral

Abstract

The aim of this article is to show consequences of social, economic, cultural and psychological conditions on the job-searching strategies of inhabitants of Warmia and Mazury region. On the basis of analysis it distinguishes factors which influence a low efficiency of these strategies such as: tough job market, isolation and peripherical location of post-PGR areas (former state-owned farms), low level of education, lack of prospective thinking and propensity to alcohol addiction. The low efficiency of the strategies results in helplessness and lack of initiative.
