The aim of this article is to determine the awareness of Polish cultural heritage in immigrants from Belarus and Ukraine. In each group, there are cultural creations such as values, significant objects, places, myths, legends, and significant events and figures, which are the elements of a common collective memory and history. They form a cultural heritage that determines the specificity of each nation. The author assume that the awareness of foreign cultural heritage influences better understanding of the different cultural codes by immigrants and facilitates the integration with the new society. The paper presents the results of the author's own research (63 individual in-depth interviews).
