Abstract

Aim: The article aims to identify the experiences of special education teachers in the field of mutual cooperation with other entities of the educational process (students, parents, superiors and other teachers) during the pandemic in order to diagnose the existing difficulties and establish constructive solutions for building educational partnerships.
Methods: The study was conducted using the technique of focused group interviews among 33 special education teachers employed in special and inclusive education, via remote communication. The respondents came from 4 voivodeships (lubelskie, lubuskie, warmińsko-mazurskie, małopolskie).
Results: The conditions and features of the family-school partnership revealed in the research were of the following nature: subjective (style of thinking about education, school, attitudes and behaviors of subjects) and non-subjective (institutional conditions). Diversity of teachers' experiences was demonstrated. High qualitative indicators were found in the area of creating an appropriate climate of cooperation in diverse and demanding (due to the pandemic) forms of communication.
Conclusions: The possibilities and perspectives revealed in social interactions based on unforced, open communication are conducive to creating a constructive platform for cooperation aimed at building a mature, conscious and autonomous educational partnership. Considering the perspective resulting from the experience of educational partnership acquired during the pandemic may help in planning recommendations to strengthen the current quality of the offer in the field of special education.
