Contemporary education, including preschool and early primary education, increasingly relies on new technologies that support children's cognitive, emotional, and social development. Digital tools – such as interactive applications, multimedia boards, and educational robots – make it possible to create engaging learning situations that encourage experimentation, creativity, and cause-and-effect reasoning. An important aspect is the individualisation of learning: thanks to technology, teachers can adjust the pace and form of instruction to each child's needs, support learners with developmental difficulties, and, at the same time, foster the potential of gifted students. New technologies also play a significant role in developing key competences, including digital skills and STEAM competences, which are essential for future professional life. Collaborative multimedia projects enhance teamwork, communication, and responsibility. Technologies enhance lesson appeal, help maintain children’s attention, and motivate them through interactive, engaging content. The benefits also include improving teachers’ work and strengthening communication with parents, enabling them to monitor their child’s progress and actively support their development. Technologies also help reduce educational inequalities, especially for children who require extra support or live in smaller communities. At the same time, their use brings challenges such as excessive screen time, risk of addiction, or the need for proper teacher preparation. Therefore, balanced, conscious, and pedagogically justified use of digital tools is essential. New technologies do not replace traditional education, but when implemented appropriately, they can significantly enrich it, making the learning process more effective, engaging, and aligned with the needs of contemporary society.
