Abstract

The aim of the article is an empirical verification of self-efficacy among teachers of early school education. Diagnostic survey was conducted among 44 primary school teachers. The survey used Albert Bandura`s Teacher`s Self Efficacy (TSE) questionnaire, translated by the author of this paper. The results of the study indicate that teachers achieve the highest levels of efficacy in educational skills, and the lowest in parental involvement and ability to create a safe, stimulating work environment in contact with students, other teachers, and school staff. The results also indicate that teachers who are in the process of gaining further degrees of professional advancement show higher self-efficacy than teachers who have already attained the status of qualified teacher.
