Conditions of Publication

The "Uniwersyteckie Czasopismo Socjologiczne / Academic Journal of Sociology" accepts for consideration scholarly texts with a sociological focus (topics, references, interpretations). These may include scholarly articles (theoretical and empirical dissertations on a selected issue in the social sciences, humanities, and cultural studies—which may be additionally enriched by philosophical or literary reflections), glosses (texts that are essentially sociological essays, introductions, or commemorations), reports (e.g., from important scholarly events—conferences, seminars, or symposia), research reports (containing references to field projects), or review articles. We encourage young authors (both undergraduate and graduate students) to undertake writing endeavors; their texts are published in a special section called "Attempts and Debuts." Texts may be submitted in Polish or English.

Scholarly articles are published in the journal after successful completion of the review process (double-blind review procedure). The remaining texts are assigned to individual editions by decision of the editorial board in consultation with the thematic editors of the individual volumes. Authors' willingness to improve their texts and cooperation with the Polish editor (or English editor, if the text is written in that language) is also crucial.

Please adhere to all technical requirements – proper text editing can shorten the processing time for the entire edition of a single volume.
