    A few remarks on corruption as one of the organizational pathologies in public administration

    Abstract

    The aim of this study is to draw attention to numerous organizational pathologies within Polish public administrative authorities, and to estimate the extent and scale of one of these pathologies, that is corruption. There should be a system to keep a constant watch for the occurrence of a phenomenon as widespread and complex as corruption, which should be under continuous scrutiny in order to devise effective countermeasures to control it. Anti-corruption measures include a regular policy of legislation to combat corruption in public administration, with provisions regulating operations to eliminate this type of pathology. However, practice shows that in recent years no anti-corruption provisions have been implemented in Poland, which means the country still has a high level of corruption.
