Principles governing the location of advertising media in light of the Polish legal requirements for landscape protection

Abstract

This article concerns the Polish law on the location of advertisements and advertising devices. In Poland the aim of the legal regulations applicable to outdoor advertising is the safety and protection of public spaces. This is implemented primarily by legislation specifying the principles for landscape protection. An example of an effective Polish policy in this area are the obligations which have been defined for the supervision of the construction of billboards and other advertising installations.
