The right to energy in the international legal system

Abstract

The aim of this article was to determine the status of the right to energy in the system of international law. Its target was to establish whether the right to energy is part of the system of protection aﬀorded to human rights, and to define the content of this new right and the limits of its implementation. This study also gives an answer to the question whether the right to energy requires autonomous recognition. This paper provides a comprehensive analysis of the interference the right to energy has on human rights in factual, legal and axiological terms. The research methods used in the study were the comparative method and the dogmatic legal method.
