The Legal Journal is a peer-reviewed academic journal, registered under the ISSN: 1643-8183 and eISSN: 2353-8139. Established in 2001 on the initiative of prof. dr hab. Jan Zabłocki, who was its Editor-in-Chief from the moment of founding the journal until 2021. In 2021, this role was taken over by prof. dr hab. Anna Tarwacka. The Legal Journal is affiliated with the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw, and their publisher is Wydawnictwo UKSW (the University publishing house).
The Editorial Team makes texts available according to the rules of open access (Open Access), in accordance with the Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 license, namely Attribution - 4.0. International. This means that all content is available free of charge to any network user or their institution. Users have the right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full text articles, as well as use them for other lawful purposes without the prior consent of the publisher or author. The above rules are in line with the definition of open access according to BOAI (Budapest Open Access Initiative).
According to the decision of the Minister of Science , the point value of an article is 70 points. (List of scientific journals of the Ministry of Science as of January 5, 2024).
